Attend Virtual Meetings
On the third Tuesday of each month, VFC holds a 30-minute, virtual meeting. Meetings include reports from our project teams, updates on VFC initiatives, and provide space for members to ask questions, make suggestions, and sign up for advocacy opportunities. New faces are always welcome!
Join a Team
VFC initiatives are achieved by two project teams: the Marketing, Research, and Education team and the Volunteer Engagement team. Team members are located in all parts of the commonwealth, mostly work asynchronously, and meet virtually once a month for 30 minutes.
Marketing, Research & Education
• Stays up-to-date on federal, state and local gun violence prevention issues & statistics;
• Researches laws, candidates and elected officials (positions, votes, etc.)
• Develops engaging, actionable content to keep VFC followers informed about what’s happening in Virginia and elsewhere
Volunteer Engagement
• Works to ensure volunteers feel engaged, supported, and valued
• Grows and utilizes our volunteer network to spread our mission
• Helps plan/coordinate in-person events
